Etude House Welcome to Wonder Lip Land Lip Palette

I seldom buy lip palettes, because I have always felt that it's kinda unhygienic… but the Etude House Welcome to Wonder Lip Land palette is too awesome to miss!!

It retails for only $39 in Singapore, and has 18 colors. Even if the price is more expensive in Singapore as compared to Korea, I find it a good price still!

Paper packaging is kind of nice

The great thing about this palette is that the color you see in the palette is more or less the color you get when applied to lips. The pigment is good and colors are vibrant. The 12 shades on the left side of palette (smaller rectangles) are lipstick texture, colors more intense, quite matte, and less moisturising. The rest of the 6 shades (right side of palette, squares) feel more like lipgloss, 2 of which are shimmer lipgloss and more to sheer.

This palette is already sold out in most outlets in Singapore. According to a friend who asked the SA in the shop, she said that this is not a limited edition in Korea, but they always bring in this product to Singapore during the Christmas season. The palette is very popular, for the obvious reason :) Good quality and rather reasonable price!

If you are lucky, you might still be able to find one in the stores :)

Etude House Apricot Stick, Aloha Cocktail Syrup Nails Kit, Petite Darling Nails & Mascara Remover

I finally couldn't stand the 'days without new make up', and bought a few Etude House items :)

Aloha Cocktail Syrup Nails Kit, Sunshine Bronze
Comes in 3 colors, 7ml each, $16.90 a set

All 3 colors are meant to be used together to create the graduation nails look.

Shade 1

Shade 1 is the base color. It's a slightly milky peachy color, which looks fine even on it's own. It covers natural nail color in about 3 coats.

Shade 2

Shade 2 is a sheer orange glitter polish. The glitters are on the large side.

Shade 3

Shade 3 is a frosty reddish brown, with glitters. The glitters are smaller as compared to shade 2.  The color probably could be worn on its own.

Nails Gradation

For this gradation look, I applied 2 layers for each color, with shade 1 on the whole nail as base, shade 2 from the middle of nail, and shade 3 at the tips of the nail.

I think these colors are indeed very 'Aloha', very summer, very seaside!
*Confession* I bought this kit because I liked shade 1, but luckily, the other 2 shades look good as well!

Darling Petite Nails BR302, 7ml, $5.90

This is a milky nude brown shade. Ok, not exactly nude, as the color is pretty light, but nude in the sense  that it gives nails a 'clean' look. This is 3 coats!

I am pretty satisfied with these Etude House nail polish. They are easy to apply and don't streak.

Apricot Stick in shade 1 (top) & shade 6 (bottom), $9.90 each

Each Apricot Stick has a different fruity scent, which is not very strong, so I don't really mind. The finish is glossy. I used 01 out once, and i think it was very moisturising! When I swatch them, they might appear a little sheer, but on lips, the colors are bright!

Natural lipcolor without lipstick
Apricot Stick Shade 01

Shade 1 gives lips a pop of raspberry bluish pink. I love raspberry shades! The stick smells of raspberry too :)

Apricot Stick Shade 06

Shade 6 is a coral shade. Peachy, but leaning more towards reddish. This color covers lip color a bit better than shade 1. This one just smells sweet (still fruity) to me, not sure which fruit it is.

The photos are a little bit blurry as they are taken with the front camera of my iPhone 4! Couldn't get good photos of the colors using the rear camera.

Mascara Remover, 80ml, $10.90

This Mascara Remover is so gorgeous, isn't it! Such a sweet pink hehehe… I think this remover removes waterproof mascara moderately well. No tugging of eyelids. However, I think it kind of stung my eyes a little, not too much for me to throw it in the bin!

I ordered some Benefit cosmetics online. Hope it will come this week!!

*Updated* Etude House VIP girl Dear darling lips & Miss Tangerine VIP girl Dear darling lips

I got a little frustrated while taking photos for this post -- My HTC Desire HD just REFUSED to capture the colors of the lipsticks accurately. I mean, yes, I love my photos to turn out vibrant, but not when I am doing lipstick swatches...

So anyway, for this post, I had to manipulate the images a lot in order to capture the color of the lipsticks in the most accurate way, so the packaging of the lipsticks become a little dull. Yes I have tried my best =) and I think the colors of the lipsticks are pretty much accurately portrayed here, especially the last photograph.

Left: VIP girl Dear darling lips OR206. Right: Miss Tangerine VIP girl Dear darling lips OR205, SGD21.90 each

The packaging of these lipsticks is as bright as these in real life.

Miss Tangerine OR205 (NEW SHADE!)

When I tested this color at the back of my hand, it looks quite bright. The SA told me that this is a nude orange, and appears less bright on the lips. I have no idea how orange lipstick can appear nude =) Whatever it is, I call this milky orange. I can't explain what I mean by milky... it's like, the color is bright, but more to cool than warm... it's like the kind of color you get when you mix normal orange with white.

VIP girl Dear darling lips OR206

Why is this an OR color? It really looks pink to me! Ok, I am calling this milky pink. Pink mixed with white...

*Update* After using this yesterday, I realise that this is really quite a bright color! Maybe I will call it strawberry pink now...

Left: OR206. Right: OR205

For some strange reason, the Miss Tangerine feels less moisturising on the lips, while the OR206 (the normal range) seems really creamy. They are both from the VIP girls range, so by right the texture should feel the same. Both colors cover my the natural lip color well, and are to the intense side.

I never get disappointed by Etude House lipcolors!

Lipcolour Hauls: Etude House Petite Darling Lips & Estee Lauder Pure Colour Gloss

From left to right: Etude House Petite Darling Lips in PK008, PP903, Estee Lauder Pure Colour Gloss in 59 Twilight Petal

For girls who love make up, we should all know that it is almost impossible to finish a stick of lipstick because we have simply too many of them! That is why I have recently grown to love the cosmetics range sold at Etude House. In particular, I love their Petite Darling Lips.

Each lipstick is only 2g. You can compare the size of it to my palm! I don't have particularly big hands =) I am more confident that i will be able to finish a lipstick of this mini size! Each lipstick retails at an affordable price of S$13.90.

Both of the colours are to the glossy side, but they are not exactly sheer. You can see the colours quite clearly on your lips.

Petite Darling Lips in PP903. An easy-to-match brownish pink

Petite Darling Lips in PK009. A bright pink. A little eye make up and blusher will be enough to make you look great!

This is the Estee Lauder's Pure Colour Gloss in 59 Twilight Petal. The SA told me that it is a limited edition. You can still get this from Takashimaya, Tangs and Metro Paragon. It is a very glossy nude pink with quite a bit of gold and pink sparkles. It's the type of colour you can match with everything. It cost me S$36.
