Video Tutorial: Fall Festive Glam Look *Shu Uemura Florescent Fall Mode Inspired*

http://www.shuuemura-usa.com/_us/_en/collections/index.aspx

Yay!! The video is finally completed!! This time, my look is inspired from Shu Uemura's Florescent Fall Mode Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. When I looked at the promo poster, I knew immediately that I would have to do this look. In fact, I have tried filming this 2 times, without much success. This look is simply difficult to re-create... and not look like it's for Halloween... ^^"

MY VERSION:

I made some changes to the look to make it more wearable. This first thing I took away was the RED LASHES! I mean... I really love red lashes, but I really am not going to walk out of the house with red lashes!!

Ok... I will not say any further... please enjoy the video =D If you like it, please remember to retweet this post!!

I filmed this 10am in the morning... seems like too much sunlight does not equal good lighting in filming...

Preview: Fall Festive Look (Shu Uemura Florescent Collection Inspired)

Finally finished filming~ Will start editing as soon as I finish some work related stuff that I have to submit! As usual, the hardest part of video making (for me) will be finding the right music.

Hopefully this video will be up in a few days' time!

Video Tutorial: Retro Chic Makeup Tutorial

This look is one of my personal favorites. The colors are so vibrant and contrast with each other that it makes this look unique. I was inspired by one of the look the Taiwanese celebrity makeup artist Kevin Zhou did in his makeup guide book. I used similar colors, but simplified the look and added some glitters.

This look is super easy to do as it involves ZERO blending. I hope you will enjoy this video! If you like it, please retweet this post or leave a comment =)

Video Tutorial: How to Apply Foundation for a Flawless Finish

My dear reader Alvira recently suggested that I do a video tutorial on how I apply my foundation, and I thought, why not? So here it is! I was really vain and couldn't stand the thought of appearing in a video without makeup, so I wore a pair of false lashes. Forgive me for my vanity!
I used a lot of control colors in this video, so if you are not going for that perfect finish, you really can skip those steps and just go with foundation, concealer and loose powder =)
I really hope that you will find this tutorial helpful!

ENJOY!

Video Tutorial: Natural Eye Makeup

Recently I have been doing videos with more colors, so I thought it would be appropriate to do something more simple this time round. This is a really easy look, so apologies to those who find this too simple =) I have come to realise the amazing thing about what lining the upper waterline does to my eyes. Not only my makeup looks natural, but the liners also make my eyes look "awake" and defined. I also believe that for natural eye makeup, I need to put more effort in applying my mascara so that my eyes will look brighter, with that 'flirtatious' quality. *laugh* I hope you will find this simple tutorial useful.

Video Tutorial: Barbie Doll Look

I didn't expect myself to be uploading this video so soon... but because I was so excited about this look, I finished editing it yesterday! So here it is!

I really had lots of fun doing this look, as I seldom wear bright color lipsticks and I like this lipstick from Laneige a lot! I think I have gotten the lighting and all better this time. What I need to do next is to figure out how to film this in HD. Managed to do it by accident when I was doing the Princess Party Look ^^;

ENJOY!

Video Tutorial: Purple Jewel Smokey Eyes

Today I bring you my video tutorial - Purple Jewel Smokey Eyes!

Apologies for my big & small eyes ^^; Just got off work and I started filming, so had more problems with my uneven double eyelids than usual. Hopefully that will not affect your impression of this look! I think this look is the type that either you love it or you hate it =D

I think this look is suitable for formal dinners or functions. Personally I wore this look to a friend's wedding. I wore a black tube dress and silver strappy heels!

I am still trying to get the lighting and everything right for my video tutorials. For all my videos so far, I have tried filming them at different parts of my house, different times of the day... (still haven't found the perfect place) Please give me your honest feedback so that I could improve! I hope the steps are clearer this time, as compared to my last tutorial 'Princess Party Look', which you can watch it here

This is the first time I am using my new MacBook to edit a video so it might not be that good. I hope the steps are clear! Please give me feedback so that I could improve next time =)

Video Tutorial: Simple Everyday Look

Today I booked an appointment for my monthly manicure and pedicure. I decided to do a "Simple Everyday Look" for my make up. Dear readers, I am usually quite a dressy person, so my meaning of "Simple look" means not much eyeshadow but lots of mascara! My look today by no means look like I do not have any make up on! Thought it is better for me to mention it first before I disappoint anyone! I also filmed my first ever video! As I am a total idiot when it comes to technology etc, I couldn't get the lighting and all perfect (sorry it's a bit too bright, forgive me >_<). But I believe if I persevere and continue to take more videos, I will definitely get better at it over time!

Video: Simple Everyday Look

My outfit:

Dress from Hypnose. Its really a top, but I am not that tall ^_^

Silver crystal sandals from Pazzion, bought ages ago

Do help me by leaving me comments how to improve my video ^_^
And don't forget to take part in the Anna Sui Giveaway which will end on 16 September 2010.
Thank you for dropping by my blog again today!
